Cardiologist

The Cardiologist will manage cardiology consultation, ECG and echocardiography review, cardiac diagnosis, patient management, and oncology-related cardiac care at HCG Oncology, Bhubaneswar. This requires MD with DM Cardiology with 2–3 years of experience.

Roles & Responsibilities

• Evaluate patients with cardiac symptoms, hypertension, arrhythmias, heart disease, and therapy-related cardiac risks.
• Review ECG, echo, cardiac enzymes, clinical history, vitals, and medication response.
• Provide cardiac clearance and risk assessment for oncology procedures, chemotherapy, surgery, or radiation therapy when required.
• Manage cardiac medicines, follow-up planning, and long-term cardiac monitoring.
• Coordinate with oncology consultants, ICU, emergency, diagnostics, nursing, pharmacy, and patient care teams.
• Respond to urgent cardiac concerns and guide emergency management as per protocol.
• Counsel patients regarding cardiac health, treatment plan, warning signs, and lifestyle modification.
• Maintain accurate consultation records, investigation review notes, prescriptions, and follow-up advice.
• Support integrated care for cancer patients with cardiac disease or cardiotoxicity risk.
• Follow cardiology protocols, patient safety standards, and ethical clinical practice.
• Communicate clearly with patients, attendants, and multidisciplinary teams.
• Deliver timely, safe, and compassionate cardiology services.
