The Nuclear Medicine Specialist will manage nuclear medicine imaging, PET CT and SPECT reporting, radioisotope therapy coordination, oncology imaging support, patient counselling, and clinical documentation at HCG Oncology, Vadodara. This requires MD in Nuclear Medicine with 2–3 years of experience.
Roles & Responsibilities
- Perform clinical review and reporting of PET CT, SPECT, and nuclear medicine diagnostic studies.
- Support oncology teams in cancer staging, metastasis evaluation, treatment response monitoring, and follow-up imaging.
- Ensure correct radiopharmaceutical use, patient preparation, radiation safety, and imaging protocol compliance.
- Coordinate with oncology doctors, radiology, nuclear medicine technologists, nursing, and patient care teams.
- Review patient history, previous reports, investigation details, and clinical indications before reporting.
- Supervise scan quality, imaging workflow, and technical accuracy of nuclear medicine procedures.
- Support radioisotope therapy planning and monitoring as per hospital protocol.
- Explain procedure precautions, safety instructions, and follow-up requirements to patients when required.
- Maintain reports, procedure records, safety logs, and department documentation.
- Follow radiation protection rules, infection control, patient confidentiality, and clinical ethics.
- Escalate critical findings or urgent oncology imaging results to the concerned consultant.
- Provide reliable, accurate, and oncology-focused nuclear medicine care.
