The Nuclear Medicine Specialist will provide nuclear medicine consultation, PET CT and SPECT imaging interpretation, radioisotope therapy support, oncology imaging review, patient evaluation, and diagnostic coordination at HCG Oncology, Mumbai. This requires MD in Nuclear Medicine with 2–3 years of experience.
Roles & Responsibilities
- Review and interpret PET CT, SPECT, nuclear medicine scans, and oncology imaging studies.
- Evaluate patients referred for nuclear medicine investigations and radioisotope-based procedures.
- Support cancer staging, treatment response assessment, recurrence evaluation, and oncology diagnostic planning.
- Coordinate with medical oncologists, surgical oncologists, radiation oncologists, radiologists, technicians, and nursing teams.
- Ensure proper patient preparation, radiotracer protocol, imaging quality, and radiation safety compliance.
- Guide nuclear medicine technicians on scan protocols, patient positioning, and image acquisition quality.
- Communicate urgent or clinically significant findings to treating doctors promptly.
- Maintain accurate nuclear medicine reports, procedure notes, patient records, and documentation.
- Support radioisotope therapy workflow as per clinical indication and hospital protocol.
- Follow radiation safety, infection control, patient privacy, and ethical medical practice.
- Counsel patients regarding nuclear medicine procedures, preparation, precautions, and follow-up.
- Deliver accurate, safe, and patient-centered nuclear medicine services.
