Job Description

  • Deliver safe, timely, evidence-based, and patient-centered critical care services.

The Critical Care Medicine Doctor will provide ICU patient management, emergency stabilization, ventilator support, critical care monitoring, sepsis and shock management, and multidisciplinary clinical coordination at Wockhardt Hospitals, Mumbai. This requires MBBS with MD, DNB, IDCCM, or critical care qualification preferred with 0–4 years of experience.


Roles & Responsibilities

  • Manage critically ill patients admitted in ICU, emergency, and high-dependency care areas.
  • Review patient vitals, ventilator parameters, oxygenation, ABG, lab reports, imaging, and clinical condition.
  • Prepare and modify critical care treatment plans based on patient response and clinical status.
  • Supervise ventilator management, oxygen therapy, hemodynamic support, sedation, and emergency interventions.
  • Coordinate with consultants, medical officers, ICU nurses, respiratory therapists, pharmacy, laboratory, radiology, and billing teams.
  • Respond to critical emergencies, resuscitation calls, shock, sepsis, respiratory failure, cardiac arrest, and neurological deterioration.
  • Guide ICU team on patient monitoring, medication safety, infection control, and documentation standards.
  • Maintain ICU progress notes, procedure records, prescriptions, handover notes, and discharge summaries.
  • Counsel patients families regarding condition, prognosis, treatment plan, and critical care updates.
  • Follow ICU protocols, infection control, patient safety, ethical practice, and documentation standards.
  • Support quality improvement and emergency preparedness in ICU services.
  • Deliver safe, timely, evidence-based, and patient-centered critical care services.
