Job Description
The Floor Manager will manage hospital floor operations, patient movement, ward coordination, department communication, service quality, discharge follow-up, and patient experience at Wockhardt Hospitals, Karur. This requires any graduate or healthcare management qualification preferred with 2–5 years of experience.
Roles & Responsibilities
- Supervise daily floor activities and ensure smooth patient care services.
- Track patient admission, transfer, discharge, investigations, reports, and billing clearance.
- Coordinate with doctors, nurses, front office, billing, pharmacy, laboratory, radiology, housekeeping, and maintenance teams.
- Handle patient and attendant queries politely and escalate unresolved concerns to seniors.
- Maintain patient trackers, floor reports, service updates, and operational records.
- Support timely communication between clinical and non-clinical departments.
- Monitor patient flow, waiting time, room readiness, and service delays.
- Assist in discharge coordination and pending report follow-up.
- Support patient movement to ICU, OT, diagnostics, ward, or billing areas when required.
- Follow hospital SOPs, patient privacy, safety, and service quality standards.
- Maintain professional communication with patients, attendants, and hospital staff.
- Ensure smooth, organized, and patient-friendly floor operations.
