MRI Technician - Radiology

The MRI Technician - Radiology will perform MRI scan support, patient preparation, MRI safety screening, scanning workflow, equipment handling, image acquisition support, and radiology documentation at Kalinga Hospital, Bhubaneswar. This requires Diploma or Degree in Radiology Imaging Technology with 5–10 years of MRI and medical imaging experience.

Roles & Responsibilities

• Prepare patients for MRI procedures and explain scan-related instructions clearly.
• Conduct MRI safety screening and check for implants, metal objects, pacemakers, and contraindications.
• Support MRI scanning workflow, patient positioning, coil selection, and image acquisition as per protocol.
• Operate MRI equipment safely under radiology department guidelines.
• Maintain patient safety, privacy, comfort, and communication during scan procedures.
• Coordinate with radiologists, doctors, nursing, emergency, ICU, and radiology staff.
• Maintain MRI records, equipment logs, patient documentation, contrast details, and scan registers.
• Report equipment issues, image quality concerns, patient discomfort, or scan complications promptly.
• Follow MRI safety rules, infection control, radiation / imaging department SOPs, and documentation standards.
• Support emergency MRI cases, inpatient movement, and priority scan coordination when required.
• Maintain cleanliness and readiness of MRI room and equipment.
• Ensure safe, accurate, professional, and patient-friendly MRI diagnostic support.
