Experienced Staff Nurse

We are hiring an Experienced Staff Nurse for the Nursing department at Usthi Hospital, IRC Village, Bhubaneswar. The candidate should have 2–3 years of clinical nursing experience in patient care, medication administration, monitoring, documentation, and ward coordination. This requires strong nursing knowledge, patient-focused behavior, teamwork, and the ability to deliver safe, compassionate, and timely care in a hospital setting.

Role & Responsibilities:

• Provide quality nursing care to admitted patients as per doctor instructions and hospital protocols.
• Monitor patient vitals, symptoms, progress, intake-output, and overall clinical condition regularly.
• Administer medicines, injections, IV fluids, and treatments accurately as prescribed by doctors.
• Assist doctors during rounds, procedures, dressing, sample collection, and bedside care activities.
• Maintain complete and accurate nursing records, medication charts, treatment notes, and patient observations.
• Educate patients and attendants about medicines, diet, hygiene, follow-up care, and discharge instructions.
• Coordinate with doctors, nursing supervisors, pharmacy, laboratory, billing, and other hospital departments.
• Ensure patient comfort, safety, privacy, and dignity during all nursing care activities.
• Follow infection control practices including hand hygiene, sterilization support, and biomedical waste management.
• Prepare patients for investigations, procedures, surgeries, transfers, and discharge as required.
• Respond quickly to patient emergencies and inform doctors or senior staff without delay.
• Maintain ward cleanliness, bed readiness, nursing station organization, and equipment availability.
• Support junior nursing staff, trainees, and attendants with proper guidance and teamwork.
• Ensure proper handover during shift changes with clear patient status and pending care instructions.
• Maintain professional conduct, empathy, discipline, and confidentiality in all patient care services.
