Attendant for OT

Usthi Hospital is looking for an OT Attendant to support Operation Theatre services at IRC Village, Bhubaneswar. The candidate should have 2–3 years of hospital or OT support experience with basic education and willingness to work in a disciplined clinical environment. This involves assisting OT staff, maintaining cleanliness, shifting patients, arranging materials, and supporting smooth surgical workflow under supervision.

Role & Responsibilities:

• Assist OT nurses, technicians, and doctors with basic support activities before and after procedures.
• Help in shifting patients safely from ward, ICU, emergency, or recovery area to the Operation Theatre.
• Maintain cleanliness and hygiene of the OT area as per hospital infection control standards.
• Arrange OT tables, trolleys, linen, patient gowns, basic supplies, and procedure-related materials.
• Support cleaning and preparation of OT rooms between surgical cases under staff supervision.
• Carry samples, documents, reports, medicines, or materials between OT and other departments when required.
• Assist in moving equipment, oxygen cylinders, stretchers, wheelchairs, and surgical support items safely.
• Follow instructions from OT nurses and senior staff during surgical preparation and patient movement.
• Maintain proper disposal of biomedical waste as per hospital rules and safety guidelines.
• Ensure stretchers, wheelchairs, and OT support materials remain clean, ready, and available.
• Help maintain order, silence, discipline, and restricted movement inside the OT area.
• Support patient comfort and dignity while shifting, positioning, or assisting clinical staff.
• Report shortages, cleaning needs, equipment issues, or unusual observations to OT staff immediately.
• Follow uniform, hygiene, handwashing, and safety practices strictly during duty hours.
• Work as a reliable support member to ensure smooth and timely OT functioning.
