Driver - Operations is responsible for safely driving hospital vehicles, supporting patient and staff transport, maintaining vehicle readiness, and assisting operational movement requirements. The requires a valid driving license with 4 to 10 years of experience in safe driving, hospital operations support, vehicle maintenance awareness, patient transport, and disciplined transport coordination.
Role & Responsibilities
- Drive hospital vehicles safely for assigned official duties.
- Transport patients, staff, documents, medical materials, or hospital items as instructed.
- Follow traffic rules and maintain safe driving standards at all times.
- Keep vehicle clean, ready, and properly maintained for daily use.
- Check fuel level, tyres, brakes, lights, and basic safety items before duty.
- Maintain trip logs, duty records, vehicle movement details, and fuel records.
- Support patient pickup, drop, or transfer activities when assigned.
- Assist elderly or dependent patients during safe vehicle boarding when needed.
- Report vehicle issues, accidents, maintenance needs, or repair requirements immediately.
- Coordinate with operations or admin team for daily duty instructions.
- Handle hospital documents and materials carefully during transport.
- Avoid rash driving and ensure passenger safety throughout travel.
- Maintain professional behaviour with patients, staff, visitors, and hospital teams.
- Follow hospital transport policies, emergency duty rules, and confidentiality standards.
- Provide punctual, disciplined, and reliable operations transport support.
