CT- MRI Technician is responsible for performing CT scan and MRI imaging procedures, preparing patients, operating radiology equipment, ensuring image quality, and supporting diagnostic workflow in the Radiology & Imaging department. The requires a diploma or degree in Radiology or Imaging Technology with 2 to 8 years of experience in CT scan, MRI, diagnostic imaging, patient positioning, equipment handling, and healthcare imaging support.
Role & Responsibilities
- Perform CT scan and MRI procedures as per doctors advice and department protocol.
- Prepare patients for imaging procedures and explain basic process instructions.
- Ensure correct patient identification before every scan.
- Position patients properly to obtain accurate diagnostic images.
- Operate CT and MRI equipment safely and efficiently.
- Follow radiation safety, MRI safety, and patient safety guidelines.
- Coordinate with radiologists for imaging requirements and reporting support.
- Maintain image quality and repeat scans only when clinically required.
- Handle contrast-related preparation under medical supervision when applicable.
- Maintain radiology records, scan details, and patient documentation.
- Check equipment readiness before daily procedures.
- Report equipment errors, breakdowns, or safety concerns to seniors.
- Coordinate with nurses, doctors, billing, reception, and radiology team.
- Maintain cleanliness, hygiene, and discipline inside imaging areas.
- Provide professional and patient-friendly diagnostic imaging support.
