Cathlab Technician

Cathlab Technician is responsible for supporting cardiac catheterization lab procedures, assisting cardiologists, preparing equipment, monitoring patients, and maintaining Cathlab workflow. The requires Cathlab Technician qualification or diploma, with 2 to 4 years of experience in cardiac cath lab support, patient monitoring, procedure assistance, equipment handling, and clinical coordination.

Role & Responsibilities

• Prepare Cathlab equipment, instruments, and consumables before procedures.
• Assist cardiologists during angiography, angioplasty, and related cardiac procedures.
• Monitor patient vitals, ECG, oxygen level, and condition during procedures.
• Support patient preparation, positioning, and transfer before and after procedures.
• Ensure Cathlab machines, monitors, cables, and accessories are functional.
• Maintain sterile conditions and follow infection control protocols.
• Coordinate with cardiologists, nurses, anesthesia, ICU, and emergency teams.
• Maintain Cathlab procedure logs, patient records, and equipment usage details.
• Support emergency cardiac procedures and urgent Cathlab activation when required.
• Handle contrast materials, disposables, and procedure supplies responsibly.
• Report equipment malfunction, repair needs, or stock shortages to seniors.
• Assist in cleaning, disinfection, and readiness of Cathlab after every procedure.
• Follow hospital safety, radiation safety, and patient care standards.
• Maintain confidentiality of patient and procedure-related information.
• Deliver accurate, alert, and patient-focused Cathlab technical support.
