Blood Bank Technician

The Blood Bank Technician will manage blood bank laboratory activities including blood testing, sample processing, cross matching, documentation, and blood component support at Saraswati Hospital, Ahmedabad. This requires DMLT, BMLT, or relevant qualification with knowledge of blood bank operations, sample testing, cross matching, and documentation.

Roles & Responsibilities

• Perform blood bank testing activities according to hospital protocols.
• Support blood grouping, cross matching, compatibility testing, and sample processing.
• Handle blood samples, donor samples, and patient samples safely.
• Maintain blood bank records, registers, and documentation accurately.
• Support blood component preparation and storage activities.
• Verify patient details, sample labels, and testing requirements carefully.

• Monitor stock availability and blood inventory records.
• Coordinate with doctors, nurses, laboratory teams, and emergency departments.
