OT Scrub Staff

The OT Scrub Staff will support operation theatre procedures, surgical assistance, instrument handling, sterilization practices, and OT workflow at Saraswati Hospital, Ahmedabad. This requires relevant OT qualification or experience with knowledge of scrub duties, sterilization protocols, surgical assistance, and operation theatre safety practices.

Roles & Responsibilities

• Assist surgeons and OT team during surgical procedures.
• Prepare operation theatre before surgeries and ensure required instruments are available.
• Perform scrub duties and maintain sterile field during procedures.
• Handle surgical instruments safely according to OT protocols.
• Support instrument counting, sterilization checks, and surgical safety procedures.
• Coordinate with surgeons, anaesthesia team, nurses, and CSSD department.
• Maintain OT cleanliness, hygiene, and infection prevention standards.
• Ensure availability of surgical consumables and equipment before procedures.
• Follow surgical checklist, patient identification, and safety protocols.
• Assist in patient preparation and shifting before and after surgery.
• Maintain OT registers, procedure records, and documentation support.
• Handle instruments carefully to prevent damage or contamination.
• Follow biomedical waste disposal protocols.
• Maintain discipline and professionalism inside operation theatre.
• Support smooth and safe surgical operations.
