Pharmacy Executive

The Pharmacy Executive will manage medicine dispensing, pharmacy operations, inventory control, prescription handling, and patient medication support at Saraswati Hospital, Ahmedabad. This requires D.Pharm or B.Pharm qualification with knowledge of pharmacy operations, medicine dispensing, inventory management, and hospital pharmacy workflow.

Roles & Responsibilities

• Dispense medicines accurately according to authorized prescriptions.
• Verify medicine name, dosage, quantity, expiry date, and patient details before dispensing.
• Maintain pharmacy inventory, stock records, purchase entries, and medicine availability.
• Monitor expiry medicines, near-expiry stock, shortages, and damaged inventory.
• Maintain proper storage conditions for medicines and healthcare products.
• Coordinate with doctors, nursing staff, billing, stores, and hospital departments.
• Provide basic medication guidance to patients as per pharmacy protocols.
• Maintain pharmacy billing records, issue registers, and documentation.
• Support stock audits and inventory reconciliation activities.
• Ensure correct handling of high-alert medicines and emergency drugs.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of pharmacy area.
• Follow pharmacy regulations, hospital SOPs, and medication safety standards.
• Report medicine-related issues, shortages, or discrepancies to seniors.
• Maintain confidentiality of patient prescription and medical information.
• Ensure efficient and patient-friendly pharmacy operations.
