Job Description
The Driver will be responsible for safely driving hospital vehicles, supporting patient transport, staff movement, document delivery, vehicle maintenance checks, and emergency transport coordination. This requires 10th or 12th pass qualification, 2–3 years of driving experience, valid driving license, route knowledge, discipline, and punctuality. The candidate will ensure safe, reliable, and professional transport support for the hospital.
Roles & Responsibilities
- Drive hospital vehicles safely for patient, staff, material, and official transport needs.
- Ensure timely pickup and drop as per hospital instructions and duty schedule.
- Support ambulance or patient transport coordination when assigned.
- Maintain vehicle cleanliness, fuel level, documents, and basic readiness.
- Check tyres, brakes, lights, horn, oil, and general vehicle condition regularly.
- Follow traffic rules, road safety practices, and hospital transport protocols.
- Maintain trip records, fuel entries, vehicle logbook, and movement details.
- Assist patients, attendants, and staff during safe entry and exit from vehicle.
- Coordinate with administration for vehicle servicing, repairs, and insurance documents.
- Deliver reports, documents, medicines, or hospital materials when required.
- Report accidents, breakdowns, delays, or vehicle issues immediately to seniors.
- Maintain polite, professional, and disciplined behavior with patients and staff.
- Keep emergency contact numbers and route information ready during duty.
- Avoid rash driving, unauthorized vehicle use, and personal route deviation.
- Provide reliable and safe transport support for hospital operations.
