Housekeeping Staff

The Housekeeping Staff will be responsible for maintaining cleanliness, hygiene, sanitation, waste disposal, and infection control support across hospital areas. This requires 10th or 12th pass qualification, 2–3 years of experience, discipline, punctuality, and awareness of hospital cleaning standards. The candidate will support a clean, safe, and patient-friendly hospital environment.

Roles & Responsibilities

• Clean patient rooms, wards, OPD areas, corridors, toilets, and assigned hospital areas.
• Follow hospital cleaning schedules, hygiene standards, and supervisor instructions.
• Support disinfection of beds, furniture, equipment surfaces, and high-touch areas.
• Handle biomedical waste segregation as per color-coded waste disposal guidelines.
• Maintain cleanliness of waiting areas, reception, consultation rooms, and common spaces.
• Refill handwash, sanitizer, tissue, dustbins, and housekeeping materials when required.
• Assist in patient room preparation, bed cleaning, and discharge cleaning activities.
• Report spills, broken items, maintenance issues, or safety hazards to seniors.
• Use PPE, gloves, masks, and cleaning chemicals safely as instructed.
• Support OT, ICU, ward, and procedure area cleaning as per infection control standards.
• Maintain cleaning tools, mops, buckets, and housekeeping supplies properly.
• Avoid disturbing patients while cleaning and maintain polite behavior.
• Follow infection control, hand hygiene, and hospital safety protocols.
• Coordinate with nursing, administration, and housekeeping supervisor for daily tasks.
• Help maintain a clean, safe, and professional hospital atmosphere.
