Counselor

The Counselor will be responsible for guiding patients and relatives regarding hospital services, treatment process, admission support, documentation, follow-ups, and care coordination. This requires MSW or Graduate qualification, 2–3 years of experience, strong communication skills, empathy, patient handling ability, and coordination with doctors, nursing, billing, and administration teams. The candidate will improve patient trust, satisfaction, and service experience.

Roles & Responsibilities

• Counsel patients and relatives about hospital services, treatment process, and care flow.
• Explain admission, investigation, procedure, billing, discharge, and follow-up processes clearly.
• Coordinate with doctors, nurses, front office, billing, pharmacy, and diagnostic departments.
• Address patient doubts, concerns, and emotional needs with empathy and professionalism.
• Maintain patient counselling records, follow-up notes, and interaction details.
• Guide patients regarding required documents, reports, consent forms, and hospital process.
• Support patient communication during treatment planning and care coordination.
• Handle patient complaints politely and escalate unresolved issues to seniors.
• Assist in improving patient satisfaction through timely guidance and follow-up.
• Maintain confidentiality of patient information and treatment-related discussions.
• Support admission counselling, discharge counselling, and family communication when required.
• Coordinate with social work or support services for patient assistance when applicable.
• Ensure ethical counselling without giving unauthorized medical advice.
• Support feedback collection and service improvement activities.
