Job Description
Accountant is responsible for managing financial records, maintaining accounting transactions, preparing financial reports, and ensuring accurate handling of day-to-day accounting operations. The involves monitoring payments and receipts, maintaining ledgers, reconciling accounts, assisting in budgeting, and ensuring compliance with financial policies and statutory regulations.
Roles & Responsibilities:
- Maintain and manage day-to-day accounting transactions and financial records.
- Prepare vouchers, invoices, receipts, payment entries, and journal entries accurately.
- Handle accounts payable and accounts receivable processes efficiently.
- Reconcile bank statements, vendor accounts, and ledger balances regularly.
- Maintain general ledger, cash book, and financial documentation systematically.
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports for management review.
- Assist in budgeting, financial planning, and expense monitoring activities.
- Ensure timely processing of payments, reimbursements, and vendor settlements.
- Monitor outstanding payments and follow up for collections when required.
- Maintain proper records of taxation, statutory deductions, and compliance-related documentation.
- Support internal and external audit processes by providing necessary financial data and reports.
- Verify bills, invoices, and supporting documents for accuracy and compliance.
- Coordinate with banks, vendors, auditors, and internal departments regarding financial matters.
- Ensure compliance with company accounting policies and financial procedures.
- Maintain confidentiality and security of financial records and transactions.
- Assist in payroll coordination and employee reimbursement processing when required.
- Monitor cash flow and report discrepancies or financial concerns to management.
- Utilize accounting software and ERP systems for financial data management and reporting.
- Prepare MIS reports and financial summaries as required by management.
- Support process improvement initiatives for efficient accounting operations.
- Maintain professionalism, accuracy, and ethical standards in all financial activities.
- Perform additional accounting and finance-related duties assigned by management or supervisors.
