Consultant - Orthopaedics and Joint Replacement

The Consultant - Orthopaedics and Joint Replacement is responsible for diagnosing and treating bone, joint, muscle, ligament, trauma, and degenerative joint conditions. The includes OPD consultation, emergency trauma care, surgical planning, joint replacement procedures, post-operative care, and rehabilitation coordination. The consultant will ensure safe orthopaedic treatment, patient counseling, and quality surgical outcomes.

Role & Responsibilities:

• Diagnose and manage orthopaedic conditions involving bones, joints, ligaments, muscles, and spine.
• Conduct OPD consultations, inpatient rounds, and emergency trauma assessments.
• Plan and perform orthopaedic and joint replacement surgeries as per expertise.
• Manage fractures, arthritis, sports injuries, deformities, and degenerative joint diseases.
• Interpret X-rays, MRI, CT scans, and other orthopaedic investigations.
• Provide pre-operative counseling and post-operative follow-up care.
• Coordinate with anaesthesia, physiotherapy, ICU, and rehabilitation teams.
• Monitor surgical recovery, wound healing, mobility, and pain control.
• Prescribe medications, immobilization, physiotherapy, and lifestyle guidance.
• Maintain accurate clinical records, operative notes, and discharge summaries.
