Executive- Financial Counselling

The Executive – Financial Counselling will be responsible for guiding patients and their families regarding estimated treatment costs, insurance benefits, and payment options. This requires strong communication skills, empathy, and knowledge of hospital billing and insurance processes to ensure a positive patient experience.

Roles and Responsibilities:

• Provide clear and accurate financial counseling to patients and families regarding treatment costs and billing estimates.
• Explain hospital tariffs, package costs, and payment structures in a transparent manner.
• Assist patients in understanding insurance coverage, TPA processes, and cashless hospitalization procedures.
• Coordinate with insurance companies, TPAs, and billing departments for approval and claim processing.
• Guide patients regarding payment options, installment plans, and financial assistance programs if available.
• Prepare and share cost estimates for procedures, surgeries, and treatments.
• Support patients during admission and discharge financial clearance processes.
• Address patient queries related to billing, insurance, and financial documentation.
• Ensure accurate documentation of financial counseling interactions and records.
• Collaborate with doctors, billing, and insurance teams for updated cost information.
• Monitor pending approvals and follow up with insurance providers for timely processing.
• Assist in reducing billing discrepancies and improving revenue cycle efficiency.
• Ensure compliance with hospital financial policies and regulatory guidelines.
• Maintain confidentiality of patient financial and medical information.
• Educate patients on hospital billing systems and reimbursement processes.
