Executive-IPD Billing

The Executive – IPD Billing will be responsible for handling all inpatient billing activities including charge entry, bill generation, insurance coordination, and discharge clearance. This requires strong attention to detail, knowledge of hospital billing systems, and the ability to coordinate effectively with multiple departments.

Roles and Responsibilities:

• Prepare and process inpatient (IPD) bills accurately based on treatment, procedures, and services provided.
• Ensure timely and correct entry of all charges including pharmacy, diagnostics, procedures, and room rent.
• Coordinate with doctors, nurses, and departments to ensure complete and accurate charge capture.
• Verify and reconcile patient bills before final discharge processing.
• Handle insurance and TPA billing, including cashless approvals and claim submissions.
• Coordinate with insurance companies for pre-authorization, approvals, and settlement processes.
• Monitor ongoing patient billing and ensure updates are recorded in real time.
• Assist patients and attendants with billing-related queries and clarifications.
• Ensure timely generation of interim and final bills for inpatients.
• Support discharge clearance process by coordinating with clinical and finance teams.
• Maintain accurate billing records, documentation, and financial reports.
• entify and resolve billing discrepancies and ensure corrections are made promptly.
• Ensure compliance with hospital billing policies, insurance guidelines, and regulatory standards.
• Maintain proper documentation for audits, claims, and financial reviews.
• Coordinate with pharmacy, lab, radiology, and OT departments for charge verification.
• Monitor pending approvals and follow up with insurers and TPAs.
• Assist in revenue reconciliation and daily billing reports.
• Ensure confidentiality of patient financial and medical information.
• Support audit processes and internal financial reviews.
• Work closely with revenue cycle management teams to improve billing efficiency.
• Stay updated with insurance policies, hospital tariff updates, and billing regulations.
• Maintain accuracy under pressure in a fast-paced hospital environment.
• Contribute to improving patient experience through efficient billing services.
