Job Description
The Officer – IPQA will be responsible for conducting in-process quality assurance activities during manufacturing and packaging operations to ensure compliance with GMP, SOPs, and regulatory requirements. The involves line clearance, in-process checks, sampling, documentation review, and monitoring production activities to maintain product quality and operational compliance. The candidate will work closely with production, QA, and QC teams to support smooth manufacturing operations and continuous quality improvement.
Roles & Responsibilities:
- Perform line clearance before commencement of manufacturing and packaging activities.
- Conduct in-process quality checks during production and packaging operations.
- Monitor compliance with GMP, SOPs, and quality standards within manufacturing areas.
- Verify raw materials, packaging materials, and productentification during operations.
- Ensure adherence to approved batch manufacturing and packaging procedures.
- Perform sampling of raw materials, in-process samples, and finished products as required.
- Review batch records, logbooks, and production documentation for accuracy and completeness.
- Monitor environmental conditions and cleanliness within production and packaging areas.
- Identify deviations, non-conformances, and quality issues and report them promptly.
- Support investigation and CAPA implementation for quality-related incidents.
- Coordinate with production, QC, warehouse, and engineering teams for quality assurance activities.
- Ensure proper status labeling and material segregation within production areas.
- Verify calibration status of instruments and equipment used during manufacturing activities.
- Participate in validation, qualification, and process monitoring activities when required.
- Ensure compliance with data integrity and documentation practices.
- Support internal audits, external audits, and regulatory inspections.
- Maintain IPQA records, reports, and quality documentation accurately.
- Train and guide production personnel on GMP practices and quality compliance requirements.
- Ensure workplace safety, hygiene, and operational discipline within manufacturing areas.
- Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives for quality systems and manufacturing processes.
- Stay updated with pharmaceutical quality standards, GMP requirements, and regulatory guidelines.
