Job Description

The Territory Sales Manager will be responsible for managing sales activities within the assigned territory, achieving business targets, expanding market presence, and maintaining strong customer relationships. The involves developing sales strategies, monitoring market trends, conducting product promotion activities, and coordinating with distributors, stockists, and healthcare professionals. The candidate should possess excellent communication, leadership, and business development skills.


Roles & Responsibilities:

  • Manage and develop sales operations within the assigned territory to achieve business targets.
  • Promote pharmaceutical products to doctors, hospitals, clinics, pharmacies, and healthcare professionals.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with healthcare providers, distributors, and stockists.
  • Develop territory sales plans and implement effective market coverage strategies.
  • Achieve monthly, quarterly, and annual sales objectives and revenue goals.
  • Conduct regular field visits, product presentations, and promotional activities.
  • Monitor market trends, competitor activities, and customer requirements within the territory.
  • Ensure product availability and proper distribution across assigned regions.
  • Coordinate with marketing and product management teams for promotional campaigns and product launches.
  • Train, guide, and support field sales representatives and junior team members when required.
  • Prepare sales forecasts, territory reports, and MIS documentation for management review.
  • Resolve customer concerns and ensure high levels of customer satisfaction and service quality.
  • Identify new business opportunities and expand customer base within the territory.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, ethical sales practices, and regulatory guidelines.
  • Monitor sales performance metrics and implement corrective actions for target achievement.
  • Coordinate with supply chain and logistics teams to ensure smooth order fulfillment.
  • Participate in CMEs, conferences, medical camps, and promotional events.
  • Maintain accurate records of sales activities, customer interactions, and market intelligence.
  • Support collection and payment follow-up activities within the territory when required.
  • Stay updated with pharmaceutical industry trends, product knowledge, and therapy developments.
