Assistant Manager - Production

The Assistant Manager – Production will be responsible for supervising and managing day-to-day manufacturing activities to achieve production targets while maintaining product quality and regulatory compliance. The involves manpower planning, process monitoring, coordination with cross-functional teams, equipment utilization, and implementation of continuous improvement initiatives. The candidate will ensure smooth production operations in line with GMP standards and organizational objectives.

Roles & Responsibilities:

• Supervise and manage daily production operations to meet production schedules and targets.
• Ensure manufacturing activities comply with GMP, SOPs, and regulatory requirements.
• Monitor production processes and optimize operational efficiency and productivity.
• Coordinate with QA, QC, warehouse, maintenance, and planning teams for seamless operations.
• Ensure effective utilization of manpower, machinery, and production resources.
• Review batch manufacturing records and ensure accurate production documentation.
• Ensure line clearance and readiness of production areas before manufacturing activities.
• Monitor equipment performance and coordinate preventive and breakdown maintenance.
• Minimize downtime, production losses, and material wastage through process improvements.
• Handle production deviations, troubleshooting, and corrective actions effectively.
• Ensure compliance with safety procedures, hygiene standards, and environmental regulations.
• Support process validation, equipment qualification, and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Maintain discipline and operational efficiency within the production department.
• Train and mentor production staff on SOPs, GMP practices, and operational procedures.
• Participate in audits, inspections, and regulatory compliance activities.
• Monitor inventory requirements and coordinate material availability for production.
• Prepare production reports, shift summaries, and MIS data for management review.
• Implement CAPA and productivity enhancement initiatives across manufacturing operations.
• Ensure timely completion of production activities with required quality standards.
• Support new product introductions and technology transfer activities when required.
• Stay updated with advancements in manufacturing practices and industry standards.
