Respiratory Therapist

The Respiratory Therapist will support respiratory care, oxygen therapy, ventilator assistance, nebulization, pulmonary function support, emergency respiratory response, and patient monitoring at Saifee Hospital, Mumbai. This requires B.Sc Respiratory Therapy or Diploma Respiratory Therapy qualification with 2–5 years of experience.

Roles & Responsibilities

• Support respiratory care for ICU, ward, emergency, and high-dependency patients.
• Assist in oxygen therapy, nebulization, suctioning, airway care, and respiratory support procedures.
• Monitor respiratory rate, oxygen saturation, breathing pattern, ABG trends, and patient response.
• Support ventilator setup, monitoring, troubleshooting, and weaning assistance under guidance.
• Coordinate with intensivists, pulmonologists, nurses, emergency team, and biomedical staff.
• Prepare and maintain respiratory equipment, humidifiers, masks, circuits, and consumables.
• Respond to respiratory emergencies and support code blue or rapid response situations.
• Educate patients on breathing exercises, inhaler technique, and respiratory care instructions.
• Maintain respiratory therapy records, equipment logs, and treatment documentation.
• Follow infection control, PPE, patient safety, and biomedical waste management standards.
• Report equipment issues, patient deterioration, or abnormal respiratory findings promptly.
• Ensure safe, timely, and patient-centered respiratory therapy support.
