Job Description
The Head - Billing will lead hospital billing operations, OPD/IPD billing workflow, discharge billing, tariff management, insurance and cash billing coordination, team supervision, reconciliation, and billing compliance at Criticare Asia Hospital, Mumbai. This requires any graduate or MBA qualification with 10–15 years of billing leadership experience.
Roles & Responsibilities
- Lead OPD, IPD, emergency, package, cash, credit, and discharge billing operations.
- Supervise billing executives and ensure accurate, timely, and transparent billing services.
- Verify billing entries, doctor charges, procedure charges, pharmacy, diagnostics, packages, and consumables.
- Coordinate with nursing, pharmacy, laboratory, radiology, TPA, insurance, accounts, and administration teams.
- Monitor discharge billing turnaround time and ensure smooth patient discharge clearance.
- Handle patient billing queries, escalations, disputes, corrections, and approvals professionally.
- Maintain tariff masters, billing policies, discounts, credit billing, and authorization processes.
- Prepare billing MIS, collection reports, outstanding reports, package variance, and revenue summaries.
- Ensure compliance with hospital SOPs, billing rules, documentation standards, and audit requirements.
- Identify billing errors, revenue leakage, missing charges, and process gaps.
- Train billing staff on software usage, patient communication, tariff rules, and billing discipline.
- Ensure accurate, compliant, and patient-friendly billing operations.
