EMS Resident Medical Officer

The EMS Resident Medical Officer will be responsible for emergency patient assessment, initial stabilization, urgent clinical support, EMS coordination, emergency documentation, and consultant escalation at Saifee Hospital, Mumbai. This requires MBBS, BAMS, or BHMS qualification with 1–3 years of emergency medicine or hospital clinical experience.

Roles & Responsibilities

• Attend emergency and EMS patients promptly during duty hours.
• Assess patient condition and provide initial stabilization as per emergency protocol.
• Manage fever, trauma, cardiac, respiratory, neurological, poisoning, and general emergency cases.
• Monitor vitals, emergency investigations, treatment response, and clinical progress.
• Coordinate with consultants, ICU, OT, radiology, laboratory, ambulance, and nursing teams.
• Assist in resuscitation, wound care, emergency procedures, and urgent interventions.
• Maintain emergency records, prescriptions, MLC documentation, and handover notes.
• Escalate critical or complex cases to senior doctors immediately.
• Support admission, discharge, referral, and patient transfer processes.
• Communicate with attendants calmly and professionally under hospital policy.
• Follow infection control, patient safety, and emergency SOPs.
• Ensure timely, safe, and professional emergency medical care.
