Anesthesia Consultant

The Anesthesia Consultant will be responsible for pre-anesthesia assessment, anesthesia planning, intraoperative monitoring, pain management, recovery care, emergency airway support, and OT coordination at Saifee Hospital, Mumbai. This requires MBBS with MD Anaesthesia or DNB Anaesthesia qualification with 0–2 years of anesthesia experience.

Roles & Responsibilities

• Conduct pre-anesthesia checkups, patient assessment, and anesthesia risk evaluation.
• Plan anesthesia approach for surgical and procedural cases based on patient condition.
• Administer or supervise anesthesia as per clinical suitability and hospital protocol.
• Monitor patient vitals, airway, fluids, pain control, and recovery status during procedures.
• Coordinate with surgeons, OT nurses, ICU, recovery, emergency, and ward teams.
• Maintain anesthesia records, consent details, PAC notes, and post-operative documentation.
• Support emergency airway management, code blue response, and critical care situations.
• Ensure anesthesia equipment, drugs, monitors, and emergency support are ready.
• Follow OT safety, infection control, patient safety, and clinical protocols.
• Counsel patients when required regarding anesthesia process, risks, and precautions.
• Participate in OT planning, clinical meetings, and quality improvement activities.
• Ensure safe, professional, and patient-centered anesthesiology services.
