Job Description

Skilled Registrar - Anaesthesia responsible for administering anesthesia, monitoring patients during surgical and medical procedures, and supporting perioperative care in hospital settings. Experienced in pre-anesthetic evaluation, airway management, pain control, and emergency response. Adept at ensuring patient safety, assisting senior anesthesiologists, managing critical care situations, and delivering evidence-based anesthesia support to optimize surgical outcomes and quality patient care.


Roles & Responsibilities

  • Conduct pre-anesthetic assessments and evaluate patient medical history.
  • Assist in planning anesthesia techniques based on surgical and patient requirements.
  • Administer anesthesia under supervision or as per hospital protocols.
  • Monitor vital signs and patient stability during surgical procedures.
  • Manage airway support, intubation, and ventilation during anesthesia administration.
  • Support anesthesiologists during major, minor, and emergency surgeries.
  • Provide post-anesthesia care and monitor patient recovery status.
  • Manage pain relief strategies and perioperative patient comfort.
  • Handle emergency situations such as cardiac arrest, respiratory distress, and trauma cases.
  • Maintain accurate anesthesia records, drug administration details, and clinical documentation.
  • Ensure compliance with patient safety, infection control, and anesthesia protocols.
  • Coordinate with surgeons, nurses, ICU teams, and operating theatre staff.
  • Monitor anesthesia equipment, medications, and critical care resources.
  • Participate in ICU, emergency, and critical care support when required.
  • Stay updated with clinical advancements, anesthesia practices, and hospital standards.
