SR NURSE OT

Experienced Senior Nurse - OT responsible for delivering high-quality perioperative nursing care and ensuring smooth functioning of operation theatre activities. Skilled in surgical assistance, patient preparation, infection control, instrument handling, and post-operative support. Adept at coordinating with surgeons, anesthetists, and OT teams to maintain patient safety, sterile environments, and efficient surgical workflows while ensuring compliance with hospital protocols and clinical standards.

Roles & Responsibilities

• Prepare operation theatre for surgical procedures as per clinical requirements.
• Assist surgeons and anesthetists during minor and major surgical procedures.
• Ensure availability and sterility of surgical instruments, equipment, and supplies.
• Monitor patient condition before, during, and after surgical procedures.
• Provide pre-operative and post-operative nursing care to patients.
• Maintain strict infection control, sterilization, and aseptic protocols.
• Coordinate with doctors, OT technicians, and nursing teams for smooth surgical flow.
• Handle surgical instruments, consumables, and OT inventory efficiently.
• Support patient positioning, draping, and preparation during surgery.
• Monitor vital signs and assist in emergency interventions when required.
• Maintain accurate OT records, nursing documentation, and procedure reports.
• Ensure proper disposal of biomedical waste as per safety guidelines.
• Supervise junior nurses and support training on OT procedures and standards.
• Respond to emergency surgeries and critical care situations promptly.
• Ensure compliance with hospital policies, patient safety, and quality standards.
