General Surgeon

Experienced General Surgeon responsible for diagnosing, treating, and performing surgical procedures for a wide range of acute and chronic medical conditions. Skilled in pre-operative evaluation, surgical interventions, post-operative care, and emergency management. Adept at handling complex surgical cases, ensuring patient safety, collaborating with multidisciplinary healthcare teams, and delivering evidence-based surgical care to achieve optimal patient outcomes and clinical excellence.

Roles & Responsibilities

• Diagnose and manage patients requiring general surgical intervention.
• Perform elective and emergency surgical procedures as per clinical requirements.
• Conduct pre-operative assessments, patient evaluations, and surgical planning.
• Review medical history, diagnostic reports, and imaging studies before surgery.
• Manage post-operative care, recovery monitoring, and complication prevention.
• Handle trauma, abdominal, soft tissue, hernia, and related surgical cases.
• Provide emergency surgical care for critical and life-threatening conditions.
• Collaborate with anesthetists, physicians, nurses, and allied healthcare teams.
• Educate patients and families regarding surgical procedures, risks, and recovery plans.
• Maintain accurate surgical records, operative notes, and patient documentation.
• Ensure compliance with hospital protocols, infection control, and patient safety standards.
• Participate in ward rounds, consultations, and multidisciplinary clinical discussions.
• Supervise junior doctors, residents, or support surgical staff when required.
• Stay updated with advancements in surgical techniques and evidence-based practices.
• Support quality improvement initiatives to enhance surgical outcomes and patient care.
