Intensivist

The Intensivist will be responsible for managing critically ill patients, ICU rounds, ventilator care, emergency stabilization, multidisciplinary coordination, and critical care documentation at Saifee Hospital, Mumbai. This requires MBBS, MD, DNB, or IDCCM qualification with 1–3 years of critical care experience.

Roles & Responsibilities

• Manage critically ill patients in ICU, emergency, and high-dependency areas.
• Conduct ICU rounds and plan treatment for sepsis, shock, respiratory failure, trauma, and multi-organ dysfunction.
• Monitor vitals, ventilator settings, ABG, lab reports, fluids, vasopressors, and organ support.
• Coordinate with consultants, nursing, pharmacy, laboratory, radiology, and emergency teams.
• Support airway management, invasive monitoring, central line care, and emergency procedures where applicable.
• Respond to code blue, rapid response calls, and ICU emergencies promptly.
• Counsel patients relatives regarding condition, treatment plan, prognosis, and ICU care updates.
• Maintain ICU notes, progress records, procedure notes, prescriptions, and discharge summaries.
• Follow infection control, antibiotic stewardship, patient safety, and ICU protocols.
• Guide duty doctors, residents, and ICU staff in critical care practices.
• Participate in audits, mortality reviews, clinical discussions, and quality improvement activities.
• Deliver safe, timely, and evidence-based intensive care services.
