Casualty Medical Officer

The Casualty Medical Officer will be responsible for casualty patient assessment, emergency stabilization, ESI/casualty documentation, urgent referrals, and coordination with consultants at Wockhardt Hospitals, Mumbai. This requires MBBS, BAMS, or BHMS qualification with 1–3 years of experience in casualty, emergency medicine, and medical officer duties.

Roles & Responsibilities

• Attend casualty and emergency patients promptly.
• Assess patient condition and provide initial medical support.
• Manage trauma, fever, pain, accidents, poisoning, cardiac, respiratory, and general emergencies.
• Monitor vitals, clinical condition, emergency investigations, and treatment response.
• Coordinate with emergency consultants, ICU, OT, radiology, laboratory, and nursing teams.
• Assist in wound care, suturing support, resuscitation, and emergency procedures as per protocol.
• Maintain casualty records, MLC documentation, prescriptions, and handover notes.
• Escalate critical or complicated cases to senior doctors immediately.
• Support admission, discharge, referral, and patient transfer processes.
• Communicate with attendants calmly and professionally under hospital policy.
• Ensure emergency trolley, oxygen, and essential medicines are available.
• Follow infection control, patient safety, and hospital emergency SOPs.
• Maintain confidentiality and ethical clinical conduct.
• Respond quickly to code blue or urgent emergency alerts.
• Ensure timely and safe casualty care services.
