Registrar - Orthopaedics

The Registrar - Orthopaedics will support orthopedic OPD, trauma care, emergency management, surgical assistance, ward rounds, and post-operative care at Wockhardt Hospitals, Mumbai. This requires MS or DNB Orthopaedics qualification with 0–3 years of experience, knowledge of trauma management, orthopedic procedures, documentation, and patient counselling.

Roles & Responsibilities

• Evaluate orthopedic and trauma patients in OPD, emergency, and ward settings.
• Assist consultants in fracture management, procedures, surgeries, and rounds.
• Support plaster application, dressings, wound care, traction, and post-operative monitoring.
• Review X-rays, CT, MRI, lab reports, and clinical progress.
• Maintain clinical notes, consent forms, operative records, prescriptions, and discharge summaries.
• Coordinate with OT, anesthesia, physiotherapy, nursing, radiology, and emergency teams.
• Respond to orthopedic emergencies and escalate critical cases promptly.
• Monitor post-operative recovery, pain control, mobility, and rehabilitation needs.
• Counsel patients regarding treatment, surgery, precautions, and follow-up under guidance.
• Assist in pre-operative preparation and surgical case planning.
• Follow surgical safety, infection control, and patient safety standards.
• Participate in clinical meetings, case discussions, and academic learning.
• Maintain accurate handover between shifts and departments.
• Support trauma workflow and timely patient care delivery.
• Ensure ethical and patient-centered orthopedic care.
