Detail-oriented IPD Billing Executive responsible for managing inpatient billing processes, insurance coordination, and accurate financial documentation in hospital settings. Skilled in patient billing, claims processing, charge verification, and payment reconciliation. Adept at ensuring timely bill generation, maintaining compliance with hospital policies, resolving billing discrepancies, and coordinating with patients, insurance providers, and internal departments to support smooth revenue cycle operations.
Roles & Responsibilities
- Generate accurate inpatient (IPD) bills for admissions, treatments, procedures, and services.
- Verify patient charges, room tariffs, medical consumables, and service records.
- Coordinate with nursing, pharmacy, laboratory, and clinical departments for billing inputs.
- Process advance payments, deposits, refunds, and final settlement activities.
- Ensure accurate posting of charges in hospital billing systems.
- Handle insurance, TPA, and cashless billing documentation as required.
- Review billing discrepancies and resolve errors promptly.
- Prepare discharge billing and ensure timely clearance of patient accounts.
- Maintain billing records, invoices, payment details, and financial documentation.
- Coordinate with patients and attendants regarding billing queries and payment procedures.
- Reconcile daily collections, receipts, and transaction records.
- Ensure compliance with hospital billing policies and financial procedures.
- Support audits and reporting related to IPD billing activities.
- Monitor pending payments, approvals, and claim-related follow-ups.
- Assist in improving billing accuracy and revenue cycle efficiency.
