Billing Executive

The Billing Executive will be responsible for generating accurate patient bills, verifying patient and insurance details, and coordinating with departments for timely billing and collections. The requires strong numerical skills, attention to detail, and knowledge of hospital billing systems and procedures.

Roles & Responsibilities

• Generate accurate and timely patient bills for OPD, IPD, and emergency services.
• Verify patient details, treatment records, and service charges before billing.
• Process insurance claims and coordinate with TPA/insurance companies.
• Ensure completeness and accuracy of billing documentation.
• Handle cash, card, and digital payment transactions efficiently.
• Reconcile daily billing and collections and maintain financial records.
• Coordinate with doctors, nursing staff, and departments for billing inputs.
• Resolve billing discrepancies, queries, and patient concerns promptly.
• Assist in patient discharge billing and final settlement processes.
• Maintain records of invoices, receipts, and payment transactions.
• Ensure compliance with hospital billing policies and financial procedures.
• Prepare billing reports, MIS, and daily transaction summaries.
• Follow up on pending payments and insurance approvals.
• Ensure proper documentation for reimbursement and audit purposes.
• Maintain confidentiality of patient financial information.
• Support audits by providing necessary billing and financial data.
• Ensure proper usage of hospital billing software and systems.
• Assist in managing credit billing and corporate accounts.
• Maintain professionalism and accuracy in all financial dealings.
• Perform additional duties as assigned by finance or accounts department.
