Pathology

The Pathology Trainee will support laboratory sample handling, basic pathology workflow, documentation, reporting coordination, and lab learning activities at Horizon Prime Hospital, Thane. This is suitable for B.Sc, M.Sc, or MBA candidates with 0–1 year of experience who want to build practical exposure in pathology and diagnostic laboratory operations.

Roles & Responsibilities

• Assist in receiving, labeling, sorting, and processing patient samples under supervision.
• Support basic pathology laboratory workflow and sample movement.
• Maintain sample records, registers, worksheets, and documentation as instructed.
• Coordinate with lab technicians, pathologists, sample collection staff, and reporting teams.
• Learn laboratory SOPs, biosafety practices, and diagnostic workflow.
• Support report dispatch, sample tracking, and pending report follow-up.
• Maintain cleanliness and discipline in laboratory areas.
• Follow infection control, PPE, biomedical waste, and sample safety standards.
• Report sample issues, mismatch, or delays to seniors promptly.
• Participate in training and practical learning activities.
• Maintain confidentiality of patient reports and lab information.
• Support accurate and timely pathology service delivery under supervision.
