Chief Medical Officer

The Chief Medical Officer will be responsible for leading clinical governance, medical operations, patient care quality, consultant coordination, clinical protocols, and hospital medical services. This requires strong leadership, medical administration expertise, patient safety focus, and the ability to coordinate across departments. Roles & Responsibilities

• Lead and supervise overall medical services and clinical operations of the hospital.
• Coordinate with consultants, medical officers, nursing leaders, and department heads.
• Ensure implementation of clinical protocols, treatment standards, and patient safety policies.
• Monitor quality of patient care across OPD, IPD, ICU, emergency, OT, and diagnostic areas.
• Review critical cases, clinical escalations, incidents, complaints, and medico-legal matters.
• Guide medical teams in emergency response, clinical documentation, and ethical practice.
• Support recruitment, training, and performance monitoring of medical staff.
• Participate in clinical audits, mortality reviews, infection control, and quality improvement programs.
• Ensure compliance with hospital policies, statutory requirements, and accreditation standards.
• Coordinate with administration for operational planning, resource allocation, and medical governance.
• Review medical records, consent documentation, discharge summaries, and clinical reporting quality.
• Develop and implement policies for patient care, safety, emergency management, and clinical excellence.
• Handle patient and family communication in sensitive or critical care situations when required.
• Promote teamwork, accountability, professionalism, and evidence-based clinical practice.
• Support hospital leadership in strategic planning and service development.
