Job Description

Skilled Junior Consultant - Critical Care responsible for managing critically ill patients in intensive care settings through advanced clinical assessment, diagnosis, and treatment planning. Experienced in emergency response, ventilator management, life-support systems, and multidisciplinary coordination. Adept at handling complex medical conditions, supporting senior consultants, and delivering evidence-based critical care to improve patient outcomes while ensuring safety, compliance, and clinical excellence.


Roles & Responsibilities

  • Assess, diagnose, and manage critically ill patients in ICU settings.
  • Provide advanced life support and emergency medical interventions.
  • Monitor patient vitals, organ function, and overall clinical stability.
  • Manage ventilators, oxygen therapy, and respiratory support systems.
  • Develop and implement treatment plans for critical care patients.
  • Handle sepsis, shock, trauma, organ failure, and acute medical emergencies.
  • Perform or assist in invasive procedures such as intubation and central line insertion.
  • Interpret laboratory reports, imaging, and diagnostic findings.
  • Coordinate with intensivists, specialists, nurses, and multidisciplinary teams.
  • Monitor treatment effectiveness and modify care plans as required.
  • Ensure infection control, ICU protocols, and patient safety compliance.
  • Communicate with patient families regarding clinical progress and treatment plans.
  • Maintain accurate ICU documentation, case notes, and medical records.
  • Participate in emergency response, code blue, and critical care decision-making.
  • Support clinical audits, continuous learning, and quality improvement initiatives.
