The Receptionist will be responsible for welcoming patients and visitors, handling phone calls, managing registration, coordinating appointments, and guiding patients to hospital departments. Roles & Responsibilities
- Welcome patients, visitors, and attendants with polite and professional behavior.
- Handle patient registration, appointment booking, and front desk inquiries.
- Answer phone calls, transfer calls, and provide accurate hospital service information.
- Guide patients to OPD, billing, diagnostics, admission, pharmacy, and other departments.
- Maintain patient records, appointment schedules, visitor entries, and reception documentation.
- Verify patient details, contact numbers, documents, and appointment information.
- Coordinate with doctors, nurses, billing, diagnostics, and administration teams.
- Manage patient waiting flow and provide timely updates regarding doctor availability.
- Handle patient queries and basic complaints calmly and professionally.
- Support billing, receipt, admission, or discharge coordination when required.
- Maintain cleanliness, discipline, and professional appearance of the reception area.
- Follow hospital communication protocols, confidentiality, and patient privacy standards.
- Keep front desk materials, forms, registers, and stationery properly arranged.
- Report technical issues, service delays, or patient concerns to seniors.
- Create a positive and helpful first experience for every hospital visitor.
