Pharmacist

The ICU Nursing Staff will be responsible for providing specialized bedside care to critically ill patients in the intensive care unit. This requires strong clinical observation, ventilator care support, medication administration, emergency response ability, infection control awareness, and accurate documentation. The candidate will coordinate with intensivists, consultants, nurses, technicians, and patient relatives to ensure safe, timely, and compassionate ICU care.

Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide bedside nursing care to critically ill patients admitted in the ICU.
• Monitor vital signs, oxygen saturation, ECG rhythm, intake-output, and clinical changes.
• Administer medicines, injections, IV fluids, blood products, and emergency drugs as prescribed.
• Assist doctors during rounds, procedures, intubation, resuscitation, and emergency interventions.
• Monitor ventilator support, oxygen therapy, central lines, catheters, drains, and infusion pumps.
• Maintain ICU charts, nursing notes, medication records, handover sheets, and procedure documentation.
• Identify patient deterioration and report critical changes immediately to doctors.
• Follow strict infection control, hand hygiene, isolation, and biomedical waste protocols.
• Support BLS, ACLS, code blue, and emergency response activities when required.
• Prepare patients for investigations, procedures, transfer, or discharge from ICU.
• Maintain readiness of emergency trolley, monitors, ventilators, and ICU equipment.
• Communicate patient updates to senior nurses and doctors as per hospital policy.
• Coordinate with pharmacy, laboratory, radiology, billing, and administration teams.
• Ensure patient comfort, dignity, safety, and privacy during ICU care.
• Deliver alert, compassionate, and professional critical care nursing.
