Resident Medical Officer RMO

The Resident Medical Officer (RMO) will be responsible for providing continuous medical care, patient assessment, emergency response, clinical monitoring, and documentation in the hospital. This requires MBBS qualification, sound clinical knowledge, patient care discipline, and coordination with consultants, nurses, diagnostics, and hospital departments. The candidate will ensure timely treatment support, accurate records, patient safety, and smooth clinical operations.

Roles & Responsibilities

• Assess patients in OPD, IPD, emergency, ICU, and assigned hospital departments.
• Take patient history, perform clinical examination, and evaluate medical condition.
• Provide initial medical care and treatment support as per hospital protocols.
• Monitor patient vitals, investigation reports, treatment response, and clinical progress.
• Assist consultants during rounds, procedures, admissions, transfers, and discharge planning.
• Attend emergency cases and provide timely stabilization and medical intervention.
• Write prescriptions, progress notes, treatment orders, and discharge-related documentation.
• Coordinate with nursing staff for medication administration, investigations, and patient care.
• Review laboratory, radiology, and diagnostic reports and inform consultants when required.
• Support admission, referral, discharge, and follow-up processes as per hospital policy.
• Counsel patients and relatives regarding treatment plan under consultant guidance.
• Follow infection control, patient safety, consent, and clinical care protocols.
• Respond promptly to critical patient changes, code calls, and emergency situations.
• Maintain accurate case sheets, handover notes, and medical records.
• Coordinate professionally with doctors, nurses, technicians, and administration teams.
