Housekeeping Supervisor

The Housekeeping Supervisor will be responsible for supervising cleanliness, hygiene, sanitation, staff allocation, waste management, and housekeeping quality across hospital areas. This requires knowledge of hospital cleaning standards, infection control practices, biomedical waste handling, staff supervision, and service discipline. Roles & Responsibilities

• Supervise housekeeping staff across wards, ICU, OT, OPD, washrooms, and public areas.
• Ensure cleaning schedules, sanitation protocols, and hospital hygiene standards are followed.
• Monitor cleanliness of patient rooms, corridors, waiting areas, lifts, offices, and support areas.
• Allocate duties, shift schedules, attendance, and work areas to housekeeping staff.
• Ensure proper use of cleaning chemicals, equipment, PPE, and safety practices.
• Follow infection control, biomedical waste segregation, and disinfection protocols.
• Inspect high-touch surfaces, isolation areas, patient beds, and critical care cleaning quality.
• Coordinate with nursing, infection control, maintenance, and administration teams.
• Report housekeeping shortages, equipment issues, cleaning delays, and safety concerns.
• Train housekeeping staff on cleaning methods, hygiene, PPE, and patient-sensitive behavior.
• Maintain housekeeping records, checklists, duty rosters, and cleaning inspection reports.
• Ensure timely waste collection, linen movement, spill management, and deep cleaning activities.
• Handle patient or staff complaints related to cleanliness and resolve them promptly.
