Roles & Responsibilities

• Prepare meals, snacks, tea, and food items as per menu and instructions.
• Maintain hygiene and cleanliness during food preparation and kitchen activities.
• Wash, cut, cook, and arrange food ingredients safely and properly.
• Ensure food is cooked well, served fresh, and prepared within required timelines.
• Follow portion control, taste consistency, and quality standards for food preparation.
• Maintain cleanliness of cooking area, stove, utensils, containers, and kitchen equipment.
• Store raw materials, groceries, vegetables, and cooked food in a safe and organized manner.
• Follow food safety, personal hygiene, PPE, and hospital cleanliness practices.
• Support special diet preparation when instructed by senior staff or diet team.
• Avoid food wastage and use ingredients responsibly.
• Report shortage of ingredients, gas, utensils, or kitchen supplies to the incharge.
• Assist in cleaning, dishwashing coordination, and kitchen closing activities.
• Ensure safe handling of hot items, sharp tools, gas, and cooking equipment.
• Cooperate with canteen staff for timely food service.
