The Cashless - Discharge Incharge will be responsible for managing cashless discharge coordination, insurance documentation, final billing support, approval follow-up, and smooth patient discharge process. This requires knowledge of hospital insurance procedures, TPA coordination, billing documents, patient communication, and discharge workflow. The candidate will ensure timely approvals, accurate documentation, and hassle-free discharge experience for insured patients.

Roles & Responsibilities

• Manage cashless discharge process for insurance and TPA patients.
• Coordinate final bill, discharge summary, investigation reports, and required documents.
• Follow up with TPA and insurance companies for discharge approval and query resolution.
• Verify patient insurance details, pre-authorization status, approvals, and package limits.
• Coordinate with billing, doctors, nursing, pharmacy, diagnostics, and admission teams.
• Inform patients and relatives about discharge approval status and pending requirements.
• Ensure timely submission of final claim documents through insurance portals or email.
• Track discharge delays, pending approvals, shortfalls, queries, and claim-related issues.
• Maintain records of cashless discharge cases, approvals, rejections, and pending files.
• Support billing team in final bill checking, deductions, co-payment, and settlement coordination.
• Handle patient queries politely and explain cashless discharge steps clearly.
• Escalate delayed approvals or complex insurance issues to senior management.
