Receptionist

The Receptionist will be responsible for handling patient reception, appointment coordination, front desk inquiries, registration support, and visitor guidance in the hospital. This requires good communication skills, basic computer knowledge, polite behavior, and patient-friendly service. The candidate will create a positive first impression while ensuring smooth front office operations and proper coordination with hospital departments.

Roles & Responsibilities

• Welcome patients, visitors, and attendants with polite and professional behavior.
• Handle patient registration, appointment booking, and front desk inquiries.
• Answer phone calls and provide accurate information about doctors, timings, and hospital services.
• Guide patients to OPD, billing, laboratory, pharmacy, admission desk, and other departments.
• Maintain appointment records, patient details, visitor entries, and front office documentation.
• Verify patient information, contact details, and required documents during registration.
• Coordinate with doctors, nursing staff, billing team, diagnostics, and administration.
• Manage patient waiting flow and provide timely updates regarding doctor availability.
• Handle basic patient queries and escalate complaints to seniors when required.
• Support billing, receipt, admission, and discharge coordination when assigned.
• Maintain cleanliness, discipline, and professional appearance of the reception area.
• Follow hospital communication protocols, confidentiality, and patient privacy standards.
• Keep registers, forms, stationery, and front desk materials properly arranged.
• Report technical issues, service delays, or patient concerns to the concerned department.
• Ensure every patient and visitor receives helpful and respectful front desk support.
