Asst General Manager

Biological E. Limited is seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Assistant General Manager to lead and manageect and indirect taxation functions while ensuring full compliance with regulatory requirements. The involves overseeing tax planning, filings, audits, and advisory while supporting business operations with effective tax strategies and risk management.

Roles & Responsibilities

• Oversee end-to-end tax compliance includingect Tax and Indirect Tax (GST).
• Ensure timely and accurate filing of GST returns, Income Tax returns, TDS returns, and other statutory filings.
• Manage tax planning and advisory to optimize tax liabilities in line with applicable laws.
• Monitor changes in tax laws and regulations and assess their impact on business operations.
• Handle tax assessments, notices, and litigations with appropriate documentation and responses.
• Liaise with tax authorities, consultants, and auditors for smooth resolution of tax matters.
• Ensure compliance with transfer pricing regulations and documentation where applicable.
• Review and validate tax provisions, deferred tax calculations, and reconciliations.
• Implement and maintain robust internal controls for tax processes and reporting.
• Support business teams with tax-related guidance on transactions and contracts.
• Conduct regular tax audits and ensure closure of audit observations.
• Oversee reconciliation of GST returns with financial records and ensure accuracy.
• Manage input tax credit (ITC) optimization and compliance with GST provisions.
• Ensure proper documentation and record-keeping for all tax-related activities.
• Drive automation and process improvements in tax compliance and reporting systems.
• Collaborate with finance, accounts, and legal teams for integrated compliance.
• Provide MIS reports and updates on tax matters to senior management.
• entify tax risks and implement mitigation strategies to ensure compliance.
• Lead and mentor the tax team to enhance efficiency and performance.
