Asst General Manager

Biological E. Limited is seeking an experienced and strategic Assistant General Manager – Finance & Accounts to lead financial planning, reporting, compliance, and operational finance functions. The involves overseeing accounting operations, ensuring regulatory compliance, driving financial controls, and supporting business decisions through accurate financial analysis and reporting.

Roles & Responsibilities

• Oversee end-to-end finance and accounting operations, ensuring accuracy and compliance with accounting standards.
• Manage preparation and finalization of financial statements, balance sheets, and profit & loss accounts.
• Ensure timely statutory compliance including GST, Income Tax, TDS, and other regulatory filings.
• Lead budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning activities across departments.
• Monitor cash flow, fund management, and working capital to ensure financial stability.
• Implement and maintain robust internal controls and financial governance frameworks.
• Coordinate with auditors for internal and statutory audits and ensure timely closure of audit observations.
• Analyze financial data and provide insights to support strategic business decisions.
• Ensure compliance with company policies, SOPs, and financial regulations.
• Supervise accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger functions.
• Manage banking relationships, loan documentation, and treasury operations.
• Review and approve financial transactions, journal entries, and reconciliations.
• Drive cost control initiatives andentify opportunities for financial optimization.
• Ensure accurate maintenance of financial records and documentation.
• Lead and mentor the finance team to enhance productivity and performance.
• Coordinate with cross-functional teams for financial planning and reporting needs.
• Monitor financial risks and implement mitigation strategies.
• Ensure timely MIS reporting and presentation to senior management.
• Stay updated with changes in financial regulations, taxation laws, and industry practices.
