Attending Consultant - Emergency

The Attending Consultant Emergency will provide emergency clinical leadership, acute care decision-making, trauma management, critical stabilization, and emergency documentation at Fortis, Gurugram. This requires MBBS with MD, DNB, Diploma in Emergency Medicine, or relevant specialty with 3–8 years of experience.

Roles & Responsibilities

• Handle emergency cases requiring rapid assessment, investigation, stabilization, and referral.
• Manage critical cases such as cardiac arrest, polytrauma, shock, respiratory failure, and altered consciousness.
• Guide emergency team on triage priority, treatment protocols, and patient movement.
• Coordinate with ICU, OT, cath lab, neurology, radiology, laboratory, and ambulance services.
• Ensure timely documentation of emergency notes, vitals, medications, procedures, and consent.
• Counsel attendants about emergency condition, admission requirement, and referral plan.
• Monitor emergency department safety, infection control, and medication readiness.
• Support training of junior doctors and nurses in emergency protocols.
• Review emergency cases for quality improvement and clinical audit.
• Deliver quick, safe, ethical, and patient-centered emergency care.
