Senior Resident - Internal Medicine

The Senior Resident Internal Medicine will support medical patient care, emergency medicine assistance, inpatient monitoring, consultant rounds, chronic disease management, and clinical documentation at Fortis, Bengaluru. This requires MBBS with MD, DNB, or Diploma in Internal Medicine preferred with 1–2 years of experience.

Roles & Responsibilities

• Attend patients with fever, diabetes, hypertension, infections, respiratory symptoms, and general medical conditions.
• Assist consultants during medical rounds, patient review, admissions, and discharge planning.
• Monitor vitals, lab reports, imaging findings, medicine response, and clinical progress.
• Support emergency management of acute medical conditions under senior guidance.
• Coordinate with nursing, ICU, emergency, laboratory, radiology, pharmacy, and billing teams.
• Maintain case sheets, prescriptions, progress notes, investigation records, and discharge summaries.
• Counsel patients regarding medication adherence, lifestyle, follow-up, and warning signs.
• Escalate abnormal reports, deterioration, or urgent medical concerns promptly.
• Follow internal medicine protocols, infection control, patient safety, and documentation standards.
• Deliver reliable, ethical, and patient-focused medical care support.
